As well as the Technorati “State of the blogosphere” report, here is some interesting information about teens and blogs from Ypulse.com.
According to research published in April 2005 by the Perseus Development Corporation, an Internet survey group, 90% of bloggers are age 13-29. More than half of those are teens. According to 2006 research from the Pew Internet and American Life Project, teens are 19 percent more likely to create a blog than older Internet users.
According to a 2005 report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project, “fully half of all teens and 57% of teens who use the internet could be considered Content Creators.” This means that they have “created a blog or webpage, posted original artwork, photography, stories or videos online or remixed online content into their own new creations.”
