Apparently, it’s illegal to invite people to watch the Super Bowl on a projected screen, unless you’re a sports bar or other place that projects games on a regular basis.
According to the article, a local Indianapolis church is not allowed to project the big game on Sunday. The NFL is worried that their ratings won’t be as high as expected because Nielsen doesn’t rate out of home viewers.
Oh brother. That means next year, they might not be able to charge $2.6 million next year for a 30 second ad.
So, I’ve just gotta ask…will you be breaking the law this weekend?
