Now on Twitter

You can now get updates from YMTV on Twitter. Using sophisticated technology (feedburner, twitterfeed, etc), you can now add Youth Ministry TV to your friends on Twitter. I’d love to see twitter technology used more for ministry. There’s a post brewing on ideas for using it for your ministry.

Don’t Be an Ugly American

My friends Tim and Annette Gulick have written a cool little pamphlet (PDF) about minimizing culture shock when you go out of the country. They have been missionaries for decades (or at least one), and they have some very good insight into how to avoid being that ugly American when you enter another culture. Maybe you can use some of the principles for your next missions trip.

Embed a Youtube Playlist

Did you know you can create a playlist in Youtube and embed it in a website? Check out the example below. Here are some of the videos I’ve been listening to lately.

It’s a pretty cool feature with some pretty cool uses. I’m thinking of this as a great way to share a series of videos on your ministry website. It’s an easy copy and paste thing, which means you don’t have to know much about technology to use it.

All you have to do is make a playlist in Youtube. Go to that playlist page and embed it. It might even be a cool way for students to share their favorite videos or for you to share your favorite videos.

What kind of ministry uses can you think of for this?
