How Do Your Pray for Your students?

I often overlook the area of prayer in my seminary classes. I think it’s because I think it’s an understood concept that everyone is praying for the young people in their ministries.

But, praying for your ministry does make an impact. So, here are some suggestions for praying for your students:

  • Pray for the specific needs your students have.
  • Pray for your student’s parents.
  • Pray for wisdom to guide these families.
  • Pray for impact through the programs in your church. (We do programs to have intentional relationships that have an impact in lives.)
  • Pray for the volunteers who will be ministering at the programs (and throughout the week).
  • Pray for the support and encouragement of the church body.

What other specific ways do you pray for your students?

Videoblogging Week 2008

Videobloggers from all over the world participate in Videoblogging Week every year, which is a weeklong videofest in which you record and upload a new video each day of the week.

This year it’s from April 20-26, and I’m inviting everyone who reads this blog to participate. Let’s see what you can come up with. I’ll be posting my videos to Mexico Movies, so be sure to check it out. I might post a video a day here, too.

Be sure to let me know here in the comments if you participate.

If you decide to participate, tag your videos with videobloggingweek2008.

Download Higher Quality Youtube videos

In case you didn’t see this post, Google gives you a step by step guide to how to download MP4 files from Youtube.

We all know that Youtube is full of useful videos, so check out the post on how to download Youtube videos as MP4 files.

Just a reminder that you should only download videos you have the right to download (i.e. your own vids or someone else’s who has given you authorization to use the video.) Be sure to read the terms of service first.
