It’s already August, and camps and mission trips are almost over as we get ready for classes this fall. Here’s a great tip on how to remind students of their commitments or what they learned or felt at camp.
I was reading in Duffy Robbins’ book The Ministry of Nurture about how he would have students write themselves a letter at camp to remind them of a truth they wanted to apply to their lives. He would then take this letter and send it to them in the future. If you’re like me, you might forget to send the letter to the students in the future.
Well, there’s a great way to do this online with Futureme.org. On this website, you can send an email to the future. You choose the date it will be delivered. This way, those letters to your students get delivered to their email boxes on a certain date.
Futureme.org could be used for some other great things, as well. You could schedule emails to go out on certain dates for meeting reminders, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. These emails will hit the inbox of the recipient at a certain date, and you’ll never forget those special days. You could also send yourself emails as reminders of these important events.
